Canning Group understands that the quality and stability of supply of key resources, such as raw materials, inks and equipment used in the production process, are directly related to the excellent performance of the products and their competitiveness in the market. Therefore, we have established close and solid cooperative relationships with our supplier partners around the world to build an efficient and reliable supply chain system. We adhere to the localization procurement strategy, which not only promoted the development of the local economy and increased employment opportunities, but also significantly shorten the delivery cycle and improved the overall operational efficiency.

Harmonization of procurement policies and guidance

In order to ensure consistency and efficiency in purchasing activities within the Group, Canning Group has specially set up a Strategic Purchasing Department, which is responsible for formulating and overseeing the implementation of a unified purchasing policy that provides clear operational instructions and guidelines for each production site. This initiative ensures us able to follow unified standards and processes in the procurement process, thereby reducing costs and increasing efficiency.

Rigorous supplier evaluation system

We have implemented a comprehensive supplier evaluation system that conducts rigorous quality and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) audits to potential and existing suppliers. This system not only focuses on the quality and price of a supplier's products, but also emphasizes their performance in environmental protection, social responsibility and corporate governance. In this way, we are ensured to establish long-term cooperation relationships only with suppliers who meet our high standards.

Annual Supplier Conference

Every year, Canning Group organizes the supplier conference at least once, which is an important platform for improving mutual communication and cooperation. At the conference, we clearly convey our expectations regarding product quality and ESG standards, and discuss with our suppliers how to realize a more sustainable cooperation model. This open dialog mechanism helps to strengthen trust between the two parties and promotes mutual growth and development.

Integrity Commitment

All new partners must sign the Supplier Integrity Commitment, which is our firm commitment to business ethics and integrity. We require all suppliers to follow the principles of voluntariness, equality, fairness and honesty, and to join hands with us to create a clean-fingered and transparent business environment. In addition, we have established a strict monitoring mechanism to ensure that these principles are effectively implemented in our daily business.

Business ethics training

Canning Group attaches great importance to the education of our employees on business ethics. Through relevant courses organized by the Human Resources Department, we spread the knowledge of business ethics to all employees and create a good corporate culture. Employees are encouraged to practice these principles in their daily work to ensure that the entire supply chain operates in an environment filled with positive energy. This emphasis on business ethics not only helps us with enhancing our corporate image, but also strengthens our employees' sense of belonging and loyalty.

Procurement practices from a sustainable development perspective

Canning Group has always regarded sustainable development as one of the core strategies of the enterprise. We have not only obtained the ISO 14001 environmental management system certification, but also successfully introduced the IEC QC 080000, Hazardous Substance Process Management standard, to ensure that the products we manufacture are fully compliant with the EU RoHS directive. We are committed to providing consumers with healthy and safe products through environmentally friendly production methods and responsible sourcing practices, meanwhile protecting our shared ecological environment. This commitment to sustainable development not only demonstrates our sense of social responsibility, but also earns us the trust and support from our consumers.

Key Supplier Management Process

Source Screening: We use web searches, recommendations from industry catalogs, and referrals from existing suppliers to initially identify a list of candidate suppliers. This process ensures that we reach a wide range of potential partners.
Document review: We require potential suppliers to submit a series of formal documents, including purchase agreements, quality assurance certificates, social responsibility statements, etc., to ensure that they meet our compliance requirements. These documents provide us with an important basis for assessing supplier qualifications.
Site visits: For higher-risk suppliers, we implement further on-site verification to ensure that their actual operations are in line with the submitted documents. Such on-site visits help us to get a fuller picture of the real situation of our suppliers.
Regular meetings: At least once a year, we hold a seminar with all participants to review past cooperation achievements and discuss future cooperation opportunities and challenges with suppliers. Such regular exchanges are helpful to strengthen the ties between the two parties and promote continuous improvement and development.

Statement against the use of conflict minerals

Conflict minerals are tin (Sn), tantalum (Ta), tungsten (W), gold (Au), cobalt (Co), and mica (Mica) from mines located in conflict zones in the Democratic Republic of the Congo or neighboring countries. As the conflict zone is controlled by non-government armed groups, it is subject to illegal mining and human rights abuses.
As a responsible corporate, Canning Group is strongly opposed to any form of illegal mining activities. We strictly abide by international rules and refuse to purchase metal resources originating from the Democratic Republic of Congo and its neighboring areas that have been contaminated because of armed conflict. At the same time, we actively call on all our partners to adhere to this position and to ensure that our business activities do not exacerbate regional conflicts or violate human rights by strengthening supply chain transparency and legitimacy verification. We believe that only through joint efforts can we build a more just and peaceful world.
1. Not to directly or indirectly fund or benefit from metal raw materials such as 3TG minerals (tantalum, tin, tungsten, gold, cobalt, and mica) to armed organizations in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) or neighboring countries/regions that commit human rights abuses.
2. To exercise due diligence in managing suppliers with not-use “conflict minerals”.
